1 Laut, A. C. Heralds of Empire (1st Printing)
New York D. Appleton & Co. 1902 First Printing Decorative Cloth Fine No Jacket
From the recently auctioned collection of Adrian Homer Goldstone (Steinbeck's bibliographer) with the auction tag laid in. A stunning fine copy in dark green cloth with gilt, red and white lettering and decorations to the front board and spine. The front board is decorated with a coat of arms and two stags facing each other--a superb example of early 20th century bookart. This copy is in fine condition--a little dustiness to the page edges and one corner is lightly bumped--otherwise it appears as new as the day it was published in 1902. Subtitled "being The Story Of One Ramsay Stanhope--Lieutenant to Pierre Radisson In The Northern Fur Trade". A novel centered around the northern fur trade
Price: 90.00 USD
