1 Kimball, Robert; Simon, Alfred  The Gershwins
New York, New York, U.S.A.  Atheneum  1973  068910569X / 9780689105692 Hard Cover  Fine  Good
First Edition First Printing. A handsome hardbound edition of the "bible" of books concerning the Gershwin Brothers. Book condition is near fine inside and out--- has the look of a book that was read very little. The D/J has issues--there are some closed end tears that have been repaired and tears along the spine that are missing part of the cover. Part of writer/director Paul Bartel's estate. Introduction by Richard Rodgers with original drawings by the Gershwin's and over 350 B/W photographs, chronology of production, discography and pianorollography. Stated first edition. Very collectable for the music lover. The Gershwin brothers had a major impact on the formation of American music--especially in the 30's and 40's.
