A handsome copy in near fine condition. Second printing. Green cloth boards with gilt lettering to the spine. Tight, square and totally clean interior. Light age toning to cloth boards--mostly to spine but not affecting the title in gilt. Ownership signature to the front free endpaper. 408 pp. including index. Morgan was a professor of philosphy at Duke University. Morgan starts the preface out, "This book is about a thinker who happens to be dead, personally, but whose thought is terribly alive in the agonies of out time".
