From the recently auctioned collection of M. B. Goldstone with his penciled signature to the front free endpaper. A signed presentation copy from the author to Joe Johnson--signed on the front pastedown. Overall moderate uniform age toning with some loss of white to the lettering and decorations. Spine however is lettered in gilt and bright. Some dustiness to the page edges all around--a couple of light stains to the green cloth boards. Interior is clean and unmarked. The Hoppergrass is a sailing ship and this is a story about pirates and treasure. A great read. Pearson is also the author of "The Believing Years".
