Black cloth with gilt lettering to front board and spine. Spine slightly darker but lettering in good shape. Some give to the spine--not as tight as one would like, name plate of first owner on front flyleaf--neat. Otherwise no markings, stains. Extremely rare to find the dustjacket as it was known to be paper thin and not produced to last. 912 pp. with wonderful maps on pastedowns and endpapers and many B&W photos.

Front endpaper slightly torn (but attached)- 60pp. with 5 pp. ads- with 22 blank pages at rear (44 sides). A third canto of Childe Harold- including "The Prisoner of Chillon" and 7 other poems including "Churchill's Grave", "The Dream" and "Prometheus". Overall condition is very good--slightly discolored edges to pages--however no foxing or markings--edgewear to spine and front edges and corner--as to be expected. Binding tight and square. Additional scans available.
