Vanity Row, Burnett, W. R.
2 Burnett, W. R. Vanity Row
New York Knopf 1952 First Cloth Fine Very Good
First Edition/First Printing 1952. A handsome copy in fine condition in a near fine unclipped ($3.00) dustjacket. Minor age toning with a tiny bit of fading to the front free endpaper only--may even be an unread copy. The fragile dustjacket is rare in this condition--a couple of tiny chips to the spine and a couple closed end tears--but bright and unfaded. Burnett is the author of "The Asphalt Jungle" and "Little Men, Big World" and this title is part of the three together--written as a trilogy. A collectable copy.

The Goodhues of Sinking Creek, W. R. Burnett
3 W. R. Burnett The Goodhues of Sinking Creek
New York Harper & Brothers 1934 First Edition Cloth Fine Very Good Lankes, J. J.
First Printing 1934--although previously published in Scribner's Magazine in 1931. A fine copy in a near fine unclipped dustjacket. From the recently auctioned collection of M.B. Goldstone. This copy is slightly age toned at the extremities--but still fine. The dustjacket is lightly chipped at the heel of the spine and a little rubbed on the back cover--but otherwise would also be fine. Woodcuts by J. J. Lankes--patterned after the copies of Robert Frost publications of same size and paper (even the same type of use of woodcuts). A mild change for Burnett and his heavily crime laden novels and screenplays. Remarkable condition.
