Blazing Alaska's Trails, Brooks, Alfred Hulse

Fairbanks, Alaska Alaska Pioneer Press 1973 0912006013 / 9780912006017 Second Cloth Fine Fine
A handsome book in fine condition in an unclipped and near fine dustjacket. This is the very collectable second issue of this classic book on Alaska and it's great wilderness. Blue cloth with gilt decorations to front board (a likeness of the author) and spine. There is only a small amount of mild discoloration to the top edge--or would be approaching very fine. The dustjacket has a couple of small chips to the head of the spine and flap. Not price clipped, but the inside flaps are totally blank also--an interesting fact. This is a presentation copy with a flyer enclosed concerning hypothermia. The front and rear pastedowns and endpapers are mapped. A very collectable study of the Alaska wilderness, written by the Head of the US Geological Survey, with dozens of photos and drawings throughout.
