Don't wait until January to purchase a gift for that special someone in your life--who loves the special man that Dr. King was and what he did for the Civil Rights movement. It is very very rare to find a signed copy of this book in this kind of condition--and not being inscribed to any particular person makes it ideal for a gift! This ook in less fine condition has sold for over $12,000 in the past 5 years! A superb first print copy in fine condition in an unclipped and near fine dustjacket. This copy has been signed and inscribed "Best Wishes" by Dr. Martin Luther King and comes with an enclosed Certificate of Authenticity--serial number G21906--from AAU--signature verified authentic by a Board Certified Forensic Document Examiner. A tight and clean copy in gift quality condition--no interior marks or writing--clean pages and page ends. Clean exterior boards and black cloth spine with gold lettering. 146 pp including 4 pp of source listing at the end relating to each of the chapters. This copy comes from the collection of Caroline Riesor Rau & David Wallerstein. Wallerstein was one of Walt Disney's best friends and served on the Board of Directors of Paramount Pictures, McDonalds, ABC, and Disney. Wallerstein and his wife (Caroline Riesor) were from Chicago and she was deeply involved in the Civil Rights movement of the 1960's--and Chicago is where she met MLK. In this lovely book Dr. King discusses, among other things, "A Tough Mind and A Tender Heart", "On Being A Good Neighbor", "Loving Your Enemies", "What Is Man", "Our God Is Able" and "Pilgrimage To Nonviolence". Dr. King speaks with prophetic urgency from the depths of a deep and serene spirit---which, unfortunately, seems to mean just as much in 2016 as it did in 1963. The dustjacket is not price clipped --with the price of $3.50 on the front flap and only very shallow beginning of wear to the head and heel of the spine-without any resulting paper loss--and one small closed end tear at the top front flap with only the slightest of paper loss at the tip. Little or no soiling to the almost white rear panel that includes critical blurbs of praise from Reverend James A. Pike and Norman Cousins. Dr. King, perhaps more than any American---and within such a short time--made an everlasting contribution to the living history of our country and the world. This is the nicest quality signed copy of this superb book that we have seen. The photographs were taken with the protective glossy dustjacket cover in place--which may show a glare to the photo TO PURCHASE THIS COPY PLEASE EMAIL ME FIRST AT STEVE@CFEBOOKS.COM
