First Edition 1893. Two vol set from the recently auctioned collection of M. B. Goldstone--with his custom gold bookplate loosely attached to the front pastedown along with his signature in pencil to the ffep. A handsome set in blue textured cloth with gilt, silver, rust decorations to the front boards and gilt lettering to the spines. This is truly an unopened set--tight and square--totally clean interiors except for a small birthday inscription to the ffep's. Very slight rubbing to the blue cloth in a couple of places--not spotting--more like very light scuffing--see digital photos. Otherwise--as new as the day they were published--truly remarkable condition. Includes dedication page in Vol. I. Author Wallace also wrote "Ben Hur".
