From the collection of author and Professor John Stoessinger--author of "Why Nations Go To War", "From Holocaust to Harvard", and "Henry Kissinger: The Anguish of Power" a near- fine copy in a very good unclipped dustjacket. This copy is signed by the Sorenson on the front free endpaper and inscribed "For John Stoessinger". A nice copy with a little dustiness to the page edges and a little fading to the blue top stain--but still a tight and very nice copy. The dustjacket has some light edgewear to the extremities. Stoessinger was very good friends with Kissinger and Brzezinski when they attended Harvard together and beside teaching he worked the U.N. for many years--and Kissinger helped him get a Pardon from President Reagan when he got into a little hot water. Stoessinger's "Why Nations Go To War" is still in print and used across the country at College Campuses. A nice copy for the history buff. An interesting side point to Stoessinger--when he was 10 years old he came with a couple feet of Adolf Hitler in Vienna--when Hitler's motorcade stopped to talk to Stoessinger's pretty governess. Stoessinger later had to flee his home for Hong Kong leaving his parents behind. Eventually he was able to come to America.
