First Edition/First Printing 1944. This is a stunning very fine copy in a flawless dustjacket that has been put away since 1944. Absolutely no marks, tears, clippings, shelfwear, bumpings, etc... a true collectable copy about the ILGWU--or the Women's Garment Worker's Union. The inside cover states: "The Story of A Famous Union- And The Men Who Made It"--eventhough the worker's were predominantly women. The back cover of the D/J concerns "Buy War Bonds" and states "This book is a symbol for the Liberty for which we fight". A very collectable book for anybody who has interest in unions. The book was published originally for only the union members but also "May be purchased at a regular bookstore for $2.75". More scans available upon request.
